The Small Glories have just come off an amazing tour in Australia. We would like to thank Chloe Goodyear, Head of Programming at Woodford Folk Festival, for inviting us to come to Australia and tour the country, share our music and stories with all the wonderful audiences and listeners alike.
We joined many incredible artists at Woodford Folk Festival, Illawarra Folk Festival and the Cygnet Folk Festival and brought the TSG spirit to small communities throughout the country on The Festival of Small Halls. We were paired off with an amazing Tasmanian artist, Claire Anne Taylor, and toured through her home state of Tasmania and New South Wales. Stopping at all the op shops and hipster coffee joints we could find. There were 10 small hall shows in each state bookended with the festivals mentioned above.
We performed in beautiful Tasmanian halls throughout in Rowellla, Longford, Rosevale, Sulphur Creek, Wynyard, Stanley, Queenstown, Cygnet, Dunalley, Triabunna, and Broadmarsh. In New South Wales we stopped in Bulli, Goulburn, Dalgety, Ganmain, Orange, Cooyal, Frederickton, Woolbrook, Toormina, Ulong and Diehard. It was an unforgettable tour through this magnificent country. We saw many indigenous creatures like Platypus, and Emus. We hung out with some amazing folks in all of these towns, villages and cities, hearing their stories and personal experiences with the land and people of Australia. We are so grateful to have been invited to perform on this very special tour and quite blessed to have seen parts of the country that we might have never seen otherwise.
