We have been having an awesome summer performing at some great festivals and stages across the country and beyond. We were so honoured to have been asked to perform at this years Winnipeg Folk Festival. We opened the festival with our first ever performance on the MainStage. It was a magical evening as the sun went down over the festival goers and audience at the main stage. Everything was perfect! We also performed as part of the closing ceremonies and joined our pal Leonard Podolak in a unique double banjo version of The Merry Ellen Carter. To top it all off we became mentors to the young performers who were chosen for this years program. Not to mention performing in some great workshops with our fellow Manitoban artists, Tim O'Brian and Hot Rize, and also an unforgettable afternoon set with the most fabulous Peter Yarrow. It was an incredible festival. http://winnipegfolkfestival.ca
We also flew out west to play the Harrison Festival of the Arts in beautiful Harrison, BC. We performed on the beach twice to amazing audiences and got to hang in the hotel's hot springs for a couple of days too! It was a huge pleasure and such a treat to invited to the festival. https://harrisonfestival.com
Ahead of us this summer, TSG will be on stage at the Harvest Sun Music Festival August 18-20 joining a loaded line up featuring William Prince, Scott Nolan, and ISKWE. We are looking forward to getting back to our roots in the fields of Kellwood , MB. http://www.theharvestsun.com
The Small Glories will then be hopping over the Atlantic to perform at the Danish Folk Music Festival: Tonder, August 25-27. This is a great festival that we have been itching to play, and we couldn't be more excited. See for yourself what the festival has to offer here: http://tf.dk/en/
